The Crisis Response Advocacy Program connects those who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence with a trained advocate at a safe, neutral location or by phone. Law enforcement agencies and hospital emergency rooms comprise the majority of those who call for immediate intervention, but any organization or individual is welcome to call for an advocate. When responding, an advocate will assess the individual’s needs and empower her/him to determine next steps (medical, legal, shelter, etc.). Additionally, advocates provide emotional support, safety planning, and explain services offered by Albion and other community partners.
