Public Education
Advocates provide both informational and educational presentations to community groups like civic organizations, churches, businesses, and schools. Educational presentations can include dynamics of domestic violence, sexual violence, date rape drugs, healthy relationships, bystander intervention, teen dating violence, etc.
Professional Training
Advocates provide professional training to anyone who regularly works with survivors of domestic or sexual violence. This may include law enforcement, medical staff, counseling, and social work professionals, school faculty, clergy members, and your organization’s staff. Training may be tailored to fit your needs and include topics like red flags of abuse, how to handle disclosure, safety planning, legal and medical rights of survivors, protective orders, special populations, etc.
Workshops
Advocates provide community workshops that are designed to inform and educate attendees on matters related to domestic or sexual violence.
